Meeting the pets

Since we don't have pets, Clare's just not used to being around a dog and a cat. We went to visit my mom this weekend so that we wouldn't feel so lonely without Tom here and she got to meet Tom's dog Pal and get reacquainted with Bob the Cat.

As Granddad would say: "Low crawl, soldier!"...and Easter

Here are a few pictures from Easter with Clare in her cute little dress (thanks, Barbie!)

...AND a video just for her daddy of Clare movin' around the office while I was trying to get some work done. We love you and miss you, Tom!

Pray the Rosary on Good Friday

Hey all,

I received this in an email and I thought I'd share it on here instead of emailing it to everyone in our address book. This would be a powerful prayer to be part of, don't you think?

Imagine what might happen if every catholic in the world would pray a Rosary on the same day!

We have an example in October of 1571, when Europe was saved from the invasion of the mighty Turkish fleet. Europe was saved by the recitation of the Rosary by all Christians!

So, on Good Friday, let's all pray a Rosary for the intention of ending abortion, and an end to Terrorism. If possible, please pray your Rosary between noon and 3:00pm.

Also, please e-mail this message to every catholic on your address list, and ask them to pass it along to every catholic on their lists. Let's unite in praying one of the most powerful prayers on one of the holiest days of the Church Calendar, for these increasingly urgent intentions.

Thought for the Day

Good morning! I read this line in my meditation, and thought I'd share it:

If it were a crime to be a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict me?

More of the noisy one

I couldn't get her to be quiet today...not that I really tried. I love hearing her noises. I just had to put this other video on here of Tom playing with her tonight. She loves her daddy so much, can you tell?

We want her to learn to crawl in the next 1 1/2 weeks before Tom leaves for Tennessee for 5 weeks so he doesn't have to miss that important milestone...we'll see.

Right now she's pretty mobile by scooting and rolling around, but no crawling so far. She's close, but hasn't quite put together all the necessary coordination.

In other news, I'm working more in the political sphere than I ever have before as the Campaign Manager for Washington State's Coalition Against Assisted Suicide. It's been such a blessing for us because I can do it from home and it fits in to our lives pretty well. By the way, if you haven't gone to CAAS's website (www.noassistedsuicide.com) and registered, you should. We need as much support as possible to combat this Initiative in November.

Our little morning person

Clare loves waking up in the mornings! As you can see, she starts her day quite talkative. Her only real "purposeful" sound is "Ba!" but she and I were having entire conversations like this one this morning. Enjoy!

Welcome to the World, Avila Mauss!

I texted many of you last night to ask you to pray for Mike, Kristine, and Baby....

Well, your prayers paid off, because they have a beautiful baby GIRL! Visit their blog to see pictures and get updates.

We love you three!
